Deivalia
The oldest race, born from large concentrations of energy. They were responsible for the creation of Deivalia itself. No one truly knows the origin of the Deities, only that one day they created Deivalia and the Lost Lands and sought to create peace and perfect balance in life. Beings that, with the exception for a slight few, are made up of pure magical essence, with power beyond what most could ever comprehend. A few were not magic, and these are the last few deities left in the new age. They are bound to the mortal realm, however they remain hidden from all the other races, keeping their true identities and immense powers a secret from the world.
Magic energy is naturally produced by the world. Magical essence stones exist in the world which act as focal points for magical energy, drawing the magic to them. This allows other races that hold the stone to channel its power with intense concentration and knowledge. Speaking the language of the deities directs the energy to do the users will. Magic was introduced to the rest of the world when the other races learned to access the raw energy of magic. Using magic took this energy away from the Deities, draining the power from them and the natural magic in the world.

Physical Description: Beings, built of pure magical essence. The air around them crackles with the magical energies. Standing between 8 and 12 feet, they stand as an imposing figure of what almost seems like pure light. Possessing power limited only by their will and creativity, they are not a race to be trifled with.
Other Notes: With the fall of the Deities, a separate strain of the race has emerged with a mortal, non-magical form. Most of their power remains intact, however these Deities suffer from mortal constraints, and they can be physically killed.
